Q: Has any former WH manager ever gone on to manage a “Bigger” club?

Was just reading Allerdyce is favourite to become Everton manager, wondered if any former WH manager has gone to a so called “bigger” club in recent history?

again people are confusing bigger with more sucessful .a properly funded whu would kick the arses of the second biggest clubs in north london and merseyside look over to the sexton blakes of sw6 for proof . they were considered smaller than both .they aint now .and they did it with a far smaller catchment area than west ham .

Roeder was blatantly trying to turn Newcastle into West Ham North.
First, he got claret onto their away kit. He would have got it joined by blue the following season, and then ensured that they always played shit at home, so claret and blue looked lucky.
Then it would become their home kit.
Unfortunately, he got a bit muddled up, and they played shit everywhere, and too soon...

Roeder at Newcastle who were bigger at the time.
Allardyce hasn't got the Everton job yet but based on honours Everton are a bigger club too.

Everton’s not really bigger. They’ve just been more successful on the field.
So apart from having about 10% of their trophies and usually far less fans they are not bigger thaj us?

Yes, Eggbert, I’ve already said they’ve been more successful on the field, but as geep said, Preston have won a lot more trophies than us too. Trophies are not how people define a club’s size.

In the period Greenwood managed England, they won bugger all, whereas West Ham won the FA Cup, won promotion and were finalists in the Football League Cup.
I therefore put it to you, that Engerland were not a 'bigger club' than the Hammers at that time.
